What I do
I’ve had the pleasure of working at a variety of Advertising and Event Agencies in Chicago and St. Louis. After 20 years in the Advertising world, I found my way to the B2B Event Industry.

Throughout my career I’ve played the role of Art Director, Designer, Creative Director and Creative Strategist–basically, I’m a very versatile creative. I strategize, ideate and I think visually.

I’ve recently left my full-time Agency role and available to collaborate on your next event, pitch or design project.

My approach
Before you can ask people to act differently, you need to make them feel and believe that “you get it.” I strive to find the real insight that gets to a big idea (or over-arching strategy) that guides the project.

A big idea strategy is not just for creatives. Its a collaborative effort:

  • Understand and share client goals

  • Uncover the honest insights

  • Align in the beginning on the key message and strategic approach

  • Keep solutions simple and on-strategy

  • Have some laughs along the way ;-)

Some career accomplishments
I helped to launch the ACA marketing campaign for GetCovered Illinois at Downtown Partners Chicago. I was responsible for The Luck Campaign targeted at uninsured 18-24 year olds which garnered lots of unpaid media and some industry awards (including a Midwest Emmy for a Super Bowl teaser campaign launch) and surpassed Obama’s national healthcare enrollment goals.

I’m also proud of the Corner Bakery Café national integrated campaign which increased counter sales by 40%. That’s a lot of BLT sales on a small budget!

I bring a fresh, strategic approach to creating national corporate meetings and event experiences. I’ve worked with execs at Mercedes-Benz USA, PepsiCo, Quaker, Cracker Barrel, ABC Supply, Butler, Wabash, Airstream & Lazy Days, Lockton, ULTA and L’Oréal.
And connected with audiences about construction to cosmetics.

What I like
Year-round iced quad espressos, laughing, drawing, the Coen Brothers (working together) and being around people that make me better.

Not a big fan of
Musicals, sports, high heels, pumpkin-spice or prima donnas.
